Approaching International Accreditation, FISIP Learns from Universitas Bengkulu

In the 2024/2025 academic year, FISIP Universitas Brawijaya is targeting to achieve international accreditation. In accordance with government guidelines, the international accreditation used is The Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute (ACQUIN).

To realize this target, the team from FISIP UB learned from the University of Bengkulu. Why the University of Bengkulu? Because this campus has achieved international accreditation certificates for 69 study programs.

The Dean of FISIP UB, Prof. Anang Sujoko S.Sos., M.Sc., D.COMM explained that from the beginning, his party would use the AQAS (Agency for Quality Assurance by Accreditation of Study) institution. However, the government then recommended the ACQUIN institution.

“And at the beginning of this year, friends from FISIP Universitas Bengkulu came to our place. I was reminded and wanted to learn directly to prepare for international accreditation,” he said.

Anang Sujoko hopes that FISIP UB will be able to gain new technical knowledge to prepare for international accreditation from ACQUIN.

Meanwhile, the Head of LPMPP Universitas Bengkulu, Dr. Yulian Fauzi revealed that the process of carrying out international accreditation from ACQUIN was chosen by his party because the campus had not received superior accreditation from Dikti.

“Because then there is a point if we have received international accreditation then we automatically become superior. Well, it turns out that we are the first to be able to get international accreditation from ACQUIN,” he explained.

Dr. Yulian Fauzi explained that his party is ready to provide knowledge based on the experience carried out by the University of Bengkulu.

“If in the past we did not know where to learn from ACQUIN, now we are used as a reference for other campuses in Indonesia. We are ready to help FISIP UB to succeed in this ACQUIN accreditation,” he said. (*/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
