Through DOKAR, TIP Lecturers Initiate the Strengthening International Cooperation of World Class University

International cooperation is a priority agenda to improve the performance and image of Universitas Brawijaya (UB). Therefore, two lecturers namely Sri Suhartini, STP. M.Env.Mgt., PhD and Wike Agustin Prima Dania, STP. M. Eng. PhD from the Agricultural Industrial Technology Undergraduate Study Program (PS TIP), TIP Department, Faculty of Agricultural Technology (FTP), UB has carried out a Lecturer Works activity (DOKAR) to the University of Southampton (UoS), England from 23 November to 2 December 2022. This activity is one of the activities funded by UB in order to strengthen the role of UB lecturers in reputable and world-class universities (QS100).

In this activity, discussions were held related to collaboration in the field of tri dharma, namely education, research and community service. Collaboration documents have also been agreed upon, with several agreements that will be made starting from the new school year in 2023 including three in one programs, teaching through distance learning, student mobility, and potential acceptance of Doctoral (PhD) students from TIP, FTP, UB alumni. Several other potentials include research collaboration and community engagement.

In addition, other activities carried out were finalizing and submitting book chapters and international journal articles (joint-publication) involving co-authors from UoS and several other institutions from Indonesia and abroad.

“It is our hope that with this activity, it will support world-class learning in the TIP Undergraduate Study Program,” said Wike A. P. Dania as KPS and one of the participants in the 2022 UB DOKAR program. I hope that through this activity I can increase the achievement of IKU 3 and IKU 6 in TIP Department through lecturers who work outside the study program and international cooperation with TIP Undergraduate, Masters and Doctoral study program,” he said.
