A total of 80 Students of the Faculty of Agriculture (FP) who were members of the activity Mari Berbagi di Jalan or Let’s Share on the Road (MARJAN) distributed 1,230 portions of rice packages at five points in Malang City including Pasar Besar, Alun-Alun Malang, Malang Station, Arjosari Bus Station, and Gajayana Stadium.
The Coordinator of MARJAN, Aditya explained that this year is the second time this activity had been held.
“In 2024, the total donation income obtained are IDR 11,175,500. The donations were obtained within the collection period from February 26 2024 to March 18 2024,” said Aditya.
He added that the total donation was used to prepare 1,230 portions of rice packages containing packaged rice, bread and mineral water.
The rice packages are distributed evenly during the walk to the five points.
“This activity is an initiation from students who really want to distribute food to brothers and sisters who are fasting during the month of Ramadan. Hopefully this activity can be a trigger for other friends to pay more attention to each other and their surroundings,” he said. (ADT/OKY/UB PR/ Trans. Iir).
