Eid al-Fitr means to be holy again. In that sense, after one month we do a lot of good, then in the month of Shawwal humans are like newborn babies.
Ramadan is a month where people do good deeds, which will automatically erase mistakes and be replaced with new additions of goodness.
The month of Ramadan also means efforts to refrain from all forms of lust that plague humans.
The good things that have been done for one month should be maintained for the next 11 months with various kinds of practices that can bring humans closer to God.
The challenge is after Ramadan because the next month is required to maintain all the good we have done in the month of Ramadan.
I gave an example, activities that could be carried out in the next 11 months, including charity (shodaqoh), Sunnah fasting on Monday Thursday and the Davidic fast.
Humans are equipped with two potentials or strengths. The first is the destructive power and Taqwa power which tends to be constructive. Therefore, religion provides various means and opportunities for worship to suppress the emergence of destructive power and foster to develop constructive actions.
