Students of Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries of Tadulako University visited Faculty of Animal Husbandry University of Brawijaya (Fapet UB), Monday (25/Jul/2016). The year of 2014 students’ visit was in order to have field practice and see farming activities directly in the field, and also enlarge their insight in farming world. As many as 36 students accompanied by two supervisors Dr. Ir. Mulyati P., M.Si and Dr. Sugiarto, S.Pt., MP who also postgraduate program alumni of Faculty of Animal Husbandry University of Brawijaya, was warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr.Sc.Agr. Ir. Suyadi, MS (the Dean of Faculty of Animal Husbandry) and Dr. Ir. Osfar Sjofjan, M.Sc (Vice Dean III of Faculty of Animal Husbandry).
The delegation of Palu, for 17 days will be overland to get around Malang, Jakarta and Yogyakarta. While in Malang they have visited Sumber Sekar field laboratory owned by Faculty of Animal Husbandry of University of Brawijaya, Gadang slaughterhouse, the Great Hall of Farm Training in Batu, the Big Hall of Artificial Insemination in Singosari, and Wonokoyo Surabaya. According to Sukrullah, one of participants who just for the first time visited Java land, presented that the trip gave large benefits such as the latest knowledge and experience. In addition, cold and fresh weather make delegates feel at home and cozy in the City of Apple.
In the meeting located at Seminar room of Building V Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Prof. Suyadi explained that study at Faculty of Animal Husbandry University of Brawijaya is available in English and regular classes for bachelor program, double degree and regular classes for Master Program, and regular classes for doctoral program. He also mentioned that outcomes or animal husbandry graduates should have entrepreneurial skill, able to lead in managerial, public figures and scientists.
