Agribusiness student of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Brawijaya (FP UB), Naomy Tasyalingga Tiffany Kitu successfully won the title of Puteri Kebudayaan Indonesia 2020 (Princess of Indonesian Culture 2020).
On the occasion, Naomy represented East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province at the Grand Final of the election for the Princess of Indonesian Culture 2020 which was held on Saturday (9/1/2021). She succeeded to compete with 52 finalists from 28 provinces throughout Indonesia.
“My father is originally coming from NTT, therefore I also have an interest in digging deeper into NTT Culture,” he said.
Taking part in modeling and pageant competitions, Naomy said that being a finalist and winner in the Indonesian Culture Princess election was the first time she participated.
In fact, the COVID-19 virus pandemic did not become a barrier for her to process and carry out his service to the people of NTT.
In the Putera Puteri Budaya Indonesia event, as a finalist and winner, Naomy was also included in the best talent category, with a show of her dancing and singing talents.
She also chose the advocacy topic of Cultural Preservation through Fashion with the idea of ”Stylist and Staying Cultured”. This is based on her hobby of fashion and its issues.
“I am focusing on lifting NTT woven fabrics, and I also had the opportunity to come directly to NTT yesterday and make visits to related agencies and hold hearings to the surrounding community. I am also fully supported by the NTT Regional Government. It all makes me have a big responsibility to be able to make NTT Province proud in the national arena, “she said.
Participating in the election of Putra Putri Kebudayaan Indonesia competition is not easy for Naomy, of course there are many things that must be sacrificed.
However, with a strong determination, persistence and enthusiasm in carrying out everything, she can enjoy every process in her life.
