A total of five students of the Faculty of Law Universitas Brawijaya (FH UB) who are members of the Student Creativity Program- Community Service team (PKM PM) consisting of Ahmad Ghiffari, Josua Silaen, Indah Alvionita, Lelly Rosa Sidabutar, Luna Dezeana Ticoalu made the program ‘Kampung Dolanan’ (traditional playing village) to preserve the local culture of Indonesian nation. .
Kampung Dolanan is located in Rampal Celaket Village, Klojen District, Malang City. This program consists of a playing corner, a reading corner, an art corner and the kampung dolanan application to support the program.
In realizing the program, the team collaborated with Sasana Krida Budaya Studio in educating children through traditional games such as stilts, engklek, dakon, and many other traditional games.
“In Kampung Dolanan celaket, it is not only about introducing traditional games, but also facilitating children with reading books and information about the national culture of 34 provinces in Indonesia,” said Ahmad Ghiffari as the team leader.
The Kampung Dolanan program also carries the concept of “traditional millennial” through the provision of an application called “Kampung Dolanan” which is packaged in the form of a game so that it raises the concept of playing while learning to use technology.
In Kampung Dolanan application, children can see and learn the cultures of 34 provinces in Indonesia and can access puzzle games and cultural guessing games.
“The realization of this Kampung Dolanan is expected to be able to revive traditional games as one of the cultural assets and can continue to be preserved,” said Supranoto as partner and the head of Krida Budaya Sasana Studio.
He also hopes that Klojen village can become the first village that sparked the rebirth of traditional games and is a model for other areas with the concept of an edu-tourism village, which is traveling while learning. (LEL/Humas UB/ Trans. Iir).
