Students of the Master of Computer Science (MILKOM), Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya (FILKOM) batch of 2023, Ainandafiq Muhammad Alqadri and Yonathan Fanuel Mulyadi won Best Presenter at different international events.
Ainandafiq won Best Presenter at the 2024 International Conference on Robotics, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence (RAAI), held at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, on (19/12-21/12/2024). This conference is a prestigious event for researchers, practitioners, and industry experts from various countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, South Africa, Palestine, etc.) to share insights, exchange ideas, and explore the latest innovations in the fields of robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence. The paper presented was entitled, Attention Module in YOLO-based Object Detection Method for Autonomous Smart Wheelchair Room Navigation System related to the development of a smart wheelchair system developed by one of the lecturers at FILKOM UB, Prof. Dr. Eng. Fitri Utaminingrum, S.T., M.T.,
Prof. Fitri utilizes artificial intelligence and computer vision technology to support autonomous navigation systems on smart wheelchairs and provide innovative solutions to increase the independence of wheelchair users.
Menwhile, Yonathan won Best Presenter at The 4th International Conference on Intelligent Cybernetics Technology & Applications 2024 (ICICyTA), held at The Evitel Resort Ubud, Bali, on (17/12-19/12/2024). The conference aims to be a platform for researchers, academics, and practitioners to share the latest knowledge and innovations in the field of advanced technology. The paper entitled, Comparative Analysis of ResNet Architecture Enhanced with Self-Attention for Colorectal Cancer Detection was supervised by Prof. Fitri.
Ainandafiq said that this achievement was not only a personal achievement for him but also brought pride to FILKOM UB.
“This is an extraordinary experience to be able to share research results on the international stage while meeting experts in the fields of robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence. I hope this research can make a real contribution to the advancement of science and technology. Thank you to Universitas Brawijaya and the supervising lecturers who have provided support and this extraordinary opportunity,” he said.
Yonathan expressed his gratitude for this achievement. This award shows that UB students are able to compete at the international level, while also making real contributions to the development of science and research.
“My deepest gratitude to Prof. Fitri who has provided extraordinary guidance and support during this research process. I would also like to thank my family who always support me, my partner who always gives me encouragement and is there in every situation, and my friends who also support me. I hope this research can be useful for many people and make a significant contribution in the health sector, especially in colorectal cancer detection,” concluded Yonathan. (rr/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
