
Students of the Thematic KKN Universitas Brawijaya (UB) provide technical guidance related to soil management, use of fertilizers, apple and potato crop irrigation systems to improve the knowledge and skills of farmers in Gubugklakah Village, Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency so that the resulting horticultural productivity can be maximized.
“With the implementation of counseling and technical guidance, it is hoped that farmers in Gubugklakah Village can apply soil processing systems completely after the KKN, using pesticides and irrigation technology so that the agricultural system in Gubugklakah Village can continue to be developed and compete with agriculture in other areas,” said the KKN Coordinator Nining Pambudi. .
The implementation of the technical guidance activity took place at the Hall of Gubugklakah Village, Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency on (12/7/2022). In the implementation of these activities, members of Bumi Asri Farmer Group and farmers in the village participated. The apple and potato commodities were chosen since it is the largest horticultural commodities in Gubugklakah Village.
In addition to the implementation of technical guidance, other activities carried out were the provision of 300 durian fruit tree seeds and 300 avocado tree seeds. The provision of fruit seeds is intended so that the stability of horticulture in Gubugklakah Village can be optimal in the long term.
