Faculty of Agricultural Students Grab Gold from International Young Inventors Award 2017

Elinna PrimadianiElinna Primadiani, a student of Faculty of Agricultural Technology of Brawijaya University year of 2016 was successfully to grab gold as the best one in event so-called “International Young Inventors Award 2017 held on 21-24 September 2017 due to their beneficial innovation for communities.

HCT3 (Hygiene and Comfortable Toilet Seat’s mat) is Elinna Primadiani’s innovation along with Mas Adam Lukman Chaubah (Faculty of Science/Biology 2016) who designed a toilet seat in a certain dimension and material content and so relatively cleaner and more hygienic. Elinna’s innovation was designed to perform higher comfort for users as well as having capabilities to ward off germs and bacteria so as preventing disease. Due to her innovation, HCT3 by Elinna and team was successfully to set aside other hundreds of teams from Indonesia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Korea and Romania and so they grabbed gold as the best one.

Quoted from the official website, International Young Inventors Award (IYIA) 2017 is a scientific competition for youths in innovations discovery. The event aims to improve creativity, presenting appreciation as well as exploring potency of global youth in areas of science and technology innovation. The competition followed by winners of such competitions as KIDE (Taiwan), I-Invex (Malaysia), IYIC (Korea) and Euroinvent (Romania) was conducted in Mercu Buana University, Jakarta, 21-24 September 2017. The event was held by Indonesian Invention and Innovation Promotion Association (INNOPA) in collaboration with International Federation of Inventors’ Association (IFIA) and World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA).
