FTP Students Win UNTA 2021 – Taiwan

Carrying the work entitled Indonesia’s Agriculture Technology on Sustainable Recovery from COVID-19 Through SDGs-oriented Youth Action, the student team of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology Universitas Brawijaya won the title at the University Network of Tropical Agriculture (UNTA) Workshop 2021 organized by the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST) – Taiwan, Wednesday (24/11/2021).

UB is represented by two FTP students; Verianti Liana (TIP/2019) and Bagas Rohmatulloh (TEP/2017) won the 1st Place of Best Presenter UNTA 2021 Taiwan, with a score that was quite landslide 71% of the vote beating other participants from IPB – Indonesia, NPUST – Taiwan, and RMUTT – Thailand in Round Table category: Student Perspective on SDGs.

Indonesia’s Agriculture Technology on Sustainable Recovery from COVID-19 Through SDGs-oriented Youth Action, the work of FTP students has succeeded in the international competition discussing the application of agricultural technology in responding to food and economic problems, such as deep learning to detect the right dose of enzymes to degrade fur in swallow’s nest, as well as detection to determine the authenticity of the type of coffee.

With the deep learning, actors and entrepreneurs of agricultural products can minimize production costs, maximize profits, and increase consumer trust in the authenticity of products.
