FH UB Students Care about Child Bullying

Group 4 of Community Service students of the Faculty of Law (FH) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) participated in the MPLS series held by SD Negeri 1 Kebobang by presenting anti-bullying material on Wednesday (17/7).

“We would like to thank the students for trying to take part in the problem of bullying,” said a teacher at SD Negeri 1 Kebobang (17/07/2024).

When starting the series of events, Trainary Muhammad Dzulhajj, the person in charge of legal counseling activities at SD Negeri 1 Kebobang opened and guided the event first in the field after morning exercise activities. Furthermore, the children together with Group 4 of Community Service FH UB students mobilized according to their respective classes. The event was continued in each class with a session of providing material.

The material provided was of course in accordance with the standard understanding of the class range. At least the material discussed is about the definition of bullying, the impact of bullying, the reasons why someone bullies, the types of bullying, and how to deal with bullying.

Moreover, children are also given the opportunity to share information about experiences they may have experienced. As a result, they experienced quite a lot of bullying incidents. For example, extortion by upper-class children to bullying that leads to physical. Regarding this, Group 4 of Community Service FH UB Students explained the steps they should take when facing this.

In addition, at the end of the event, Group 4 of Community Service FH UB Students also introduced an anti-bullying song that can be one of the motivations to prevent bullying. This needs to be conveyed because these children are the ones who will continue the sustainability of the country and future leaders.
