FH Students Form Vllage Regulation on Handling Juvenile Delinquency

Students who are members of group 18 of FH KKN have formed Village Regulations (Perses) on handling Juvenile Delinquency.

Group 18 of the FH UB PKM who carried out community service activities in Krajan Hamlet, Banjarsari Village, Ngajum District, Malang Regency formed a Village Regulation since juvenile delinquency is a fairly crucial polemic in Banjarsari Village.

Group 18 of FH UB held its first activity on Monday (01-07-2024). The activity entitled “Legal Counseling on Making Village Regulations on Juvenile Delinquency,” was held at Banjarsari Village Hall, and was also attended by the local community and village officials.

The activity is a form of socialization and introduction regarding the draft of village regulations that have been prepared in such a way.

The purpose of this outreach is to enable the community and village officials to know and provide input regarding the village regulations before they are ratified.

Team member, Muhammad Zaky Ibrahim, provided the community with an understanding of the definition and urgency of the village regulations themselves, as well as the mechanism for drafting village regulations.

In the socialization, the community was given the opportunity to ask questions and provide input on the draft village regulations.

Group 18 was also very open to all forms of opinions and theories from the village community, considering that these village regulations would later become products that they would experience directly.

After going through several series of processes, the Village Regulation on Juvenile Delinquency in Banjarsari Village was finally ratified on Wednesday, (10-07-2024) at Banjarsari Village Hall. The inauguration of the village regulations was marked by the signatures of ratification affixed by Siti Mu’awannah and Kholik respectively as the Head of Banjarsari Village and the Chairperson of Banjarsari Village BPD.

Siti hopes that with the ratification of this village regulation, all forms of juvenile delinquency in Banjarsari Village can be minimized, and the community can better understand the mechanisms for overcoming and dealing with juvenile delinquency in Banjarsari Village.

She added that the issuance of this Village Regulation is a fresh breakthrough for the problem of juvenile delinquency that has not been resolved properly in Banjarsari Village.

She gave a special advice to the Youth organization and the Banjarsari Village apparatus to oversee the program that has been initiated by the PKM FH UB students by saying

“I hope that the young Karang Taruna, and the community as a whole, can maintain and continue the movement that has been started by the KKN students, for the sake of realizing a safe, peaceful, and prosperous Banjarsari Village,” she said.

Village Coordinator of Group 18 PKM FH UB, Muhammad Jaka Sabilillah, said that the problem of juvenile delinquency can arise due to various factors, especially due to education and family problems, therefore,

Jaka believes that minimizing and overcoming this can be done in various ways, such as channeling talents and interests to positive things, as well as mentoring from related families. That is the basic idea that underlies Jaka and his colleagues in initiating this program.

The inauguration of this village regulation is a manifestation of the efforts of group 18 students, to make a real contribution, and provide a contribution to the implementation of the knowledge gained during the lecture process, towards the development of Banjarsari Village to be better.
