FEB-UB Students Won the First Place of SANF National Business Case Competition

The ABG Consulting team from Brawijaya University (UB) succeeded in winning first place in the national level business case competition, The 40th SANF Business Case Competition. They are Baihaki Hylmi Habibi, Gandhisa Septry Melanie, and Muhammad Akbar Fikrianto from the Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), class of 2021.

This competition, organized by PT Surya Artha Nusantara Finance (SANF), Astra Financial, will take place from July 2023 with the theme “Sustainability and Innovation in Business Financing Industry”.

UB delegation emerged superior among 254 participants from 40 universities throughout Indonesia. Through a strict selection process, the 10 best teams were selected who brought innovative ideas with SMART standards (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Timebound).

From the 10 teams, the three best teams were announced on Thursday (19/10/2023) in Jakarta. Namely 1st Place: ABG Consulting Team from UB; 2nd place: Pride Team from the Sepuluh November Institute of Technology (ITS), and 3rd place: Trio A Team from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB).

“Being the winner in this competition is an extraordinary experience. Grateful for this opportunity, I realize that success is not just about winning, but also about the process of learning, innovation and growing together,” said Gandhisa on behalf of the team.

ABG Consulting succeeded in achieving first place through an ESG development strategy called “SEED Initiative: Sustainable, Empowered, Equal, Development”. This initiative is expected to make a positive contribution to the development of the corporate financing industry with a focus on sustainability, empowerment, equality and development, especially on SANF.

This competition is not only part of SANF’s 40th anniversary celebration, but is also a real effort by SANF to involve the younger generation in developing innovative ideas and instilling a sense of social responsibility.
