Universitas Brawijaya (MTQ UB) XVI 2023 Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran is again being held, Thursday-Sunday (25-28/05/2023). The competition which is intended for UB students is divided into nine musabaqah branches. Among them are Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an, Musabaqah Tartilil Qur’an, Musabaqah Syahril Qur’an, Musabaqah Hifdzil Qur’an, Musabaqah Khattil Qur’an, Musabaqah Fahmil Qur’an, Musabaqah Al-Qur’an Scientific Writing, Al-Qur’an Scientific Debate in Arabic and English, and Al Qur’an Application Design.

Students of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry (Fapet) participated and won achievements in three musabaqah branches. Namely 1st place winner in Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an by Zein Nur Muchammad, 2nd place winner in Musabaqah Hifdzil Qur’an in juz 5 category by M. Faiz Alhaqqani, and 1st place winner in Musabaqah Scientific Writing of Qur’an by Eka Putriwahyuningtyas and Maulidya Zahrina Qolby.

In the competition, Eka and Maulidya presented their paper entitled “The Concept of Honey Bee Farming (Apis Mellifera) Based on Integrated Flow-Hive System as an Implementation Strategy of Qs An-Nahl: 69.”

In the Annahl verses 68-69 of the Qur’an, Allah reveals His greatness through the properties contained in honey. Based on the interpretation of Surah An-Nahl verses 68 and 69: bees have been given revelations by Allah about their nature in the world. Because bees produce honey that has extraordinary properties,” said Eka.

Bee commodities are starting to show their existence and urgency in everyday life. However, beekeeping is still minimal because honey harvesting carries the risk of bee stings which are quite painful. Seeing this opportunity, Eka and Maulidya innovated as an alternative in an effort to meet the community’s need for honey and other bee products.

According to Eka, Integrated Flow-Hive is an integrated beekeeping concept that adopts partial split cell technology and the HC SR04 sensor as a controller system with the concept of automatic honey harvesting. So that this innovation can be an alternative in equalizing the existence and number of beekeeping and helping to fulfill the community’s need for honey. (dta/Humas UB/ Trans. Iir)
