FH Students Deepen Legal Research through the Westlaw Training

A number of students took part in the Westlaw Research Training held by the Legal Science Documentation Center (PDIH) Faculty of Law, Brawijaya University (FH UB) in collaboration with Westlaw and the Central Library.

This activity was held in Law Laboratory, 6th Floor of C Building FH UB on (4/3/2024). The event was opened by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Faculty of Law, Brawijaya University, Milda Istiqomah, S.H., MTCP., PhD.

In her speech, Milda emphasized that this activity is one of the things that Law Faculty students should take advantage of.

“We hope that this outreach with Westlaw and the Central Library can be put to good use by students,” said Milda.

Followed by remarks from the Head of the Legal Science Documentation Center, Dr. Patricia Audrey Ruslijanto S.H., M.Kn., who underlined the importance of in-depth understanding in legal research in this digital era.

“A deep understanding of legal investigations in the digital era is the key to face the complexity and dynamics of information technology developments that affect legal governance and justice,” said Audrey.

This training activity is an important first step for students at the Faculty of Law, Brawijaya University in honing their legal exploring skills which are very necessary in their future professional careers.
