
Master of Communication Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya continues to strive to strengthen international cooperation in the field of education by holding an excursion and bench marking study to Malaysia, Tuesday – Wednesday (23-24/7). Two educational institutions were chosen as destinations, namely Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).
“We want to establish closer cooperation between UB and UPM and UKM. The cooperation is realized by signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA),” said the Head of the Master of Communication Science study program, Maulina Pia Wulandari, S.Sos., M. Kom., Ph. D.
UB’s excursion to UKM was received by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSK). Meanwhile, at UPM, it took place at the Language and Communication Center, Faculty of Language and Communication UPM.
The meeting discussed future cooperation initiatives, including student exchange programs and continuing studies for Master students at both universities. UB also offers scholarship opportunities for students interested in continuing their studies to the doctoral level (S3). This scholarship program is expected to provide wider opportunities for students to achieve quality education and gain diverse academic experiences at the international level.
This excursion and benchmarking study activity is expected to be the beginning of various other strategic collaborations between UB and UKM and UPM, as well as strengthening bilateral relations in the field of education between Indonesia and Malaysia.[rafly/sitirahma/UB PR/ Trans. Iir]
