The Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) held an online training for Environmental Impact Assessments (AMDAL) from the Directorate General of Forestry Planning and Environmental Management (20/6-1/7/2022). This activity aims to provide understanding to workers regarding the preparation of AMDAL so that a briefing is needed through a form of training activity.
In accordance with Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021 and the Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. 4 In 2021, the AMDAL becomes the basis for the issuance of environmental permits. This environmental permit will later become the basis for business permits and other permits.
AMDAL is a commitment from the company in managing the environment to be in line with applicable regulations.
The activity was attended by 30 participants consisting of representatives of Regional and Sector Policy Environmental Impact Prevention (PDLKWS), Forest Area Stabilization Center (BPKH), and the Directorate of Environmental Impact Prevention for Business and Activities (PDLUK).
The opening of the event was carried out by the Head of the Center for Environmental Studies (PSLH) Ir. Agung Murti Nugroho, ST. MT.Ph.D, followed by Speech from the Chairperson of LPPM Prof. Luchman Hakim, S.Si.,M.Agr.Sc.,Ph.D, and continued by a Speech and Opening by the Secretary of the Directorate General of Forestry Planning and Environmental Management (PKTL) Dr. Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, S.Hut.,M.P, represented by the Head of Finance, Personnel, Organization and Administration Ari Sylvia Febriyanti, SE.,MM.
The speaker/resource person for the EIA Assessment Training Scope of the Directorate General of Forestry Planning and Environmental Management is Dr.rer.nat. Ir. Arief Rachmansyah; Ir. Agung Murti Nugroho, ST.,MT.,PhD; and Dr. Rita Parmawati, SP., ME., C. EIA
In the training, participants received 28 materials, such as screening of authority for document assessment, issuance of environmental approvals, terms of reference in the preparation of EIA documents, administrative tests, consistency, necessity and relevance, minutes of technical team assessment of KA, ANDAL and RKL-RPL, addendum to ANDAL and RKL-RPL, as well as the Ethics of EIA Assessors
In these activities, participants will do exercises directly with the group, and final exams. So that each participant attended a total of 92 hours of training.
