Halal Inspection Agency of Universitas Brawijaya (LPH UB) officially operates and is ready to audit the application for halal certification from entrepreneurs, after receiving accreditation from the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH).
Rector of Universitas Brawijaya, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nuhfil Hanani AR MS, in the launching of LPH UB and a talk show with the theme Socialization of the Implementation of Law no. 33 of 2014 and Law no. 11 of 2020, Saturday (28/05/2022) in the Banquet Room, 6th Floor, Universitas Brawijaya Rectorate Building, appreciates that LPH UB has received accreditation.
“This launch indicates that LPH UB has officially operated and is ready to audit the application for halal certification from entrepreneurs,” he said.
General Manager of LPH UB, Dr. Ir. Joni Kusnadi, M.Si said that an accredited halal test laboratory is one of the requirements for establishing the LPH.
To realize the halal laboratory, it takes time, investment, commitment and great dedication.
The laboratory is also an effort to support BPJPH in accelerating and improving the certification service system in strengthening the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH), so that a LPH accredited by BPJPH is needed.
Joni hopes that the Central Laboratory of Biological Sciences (LSIH) will become a halal laboratory center for LPH in East Java, especially those that do not yet have a laboratory with a halal scope, because the capacity for testing materials or products to support halal certification is still minimal.
