The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Brawijaya (FEB UB) held Google international certification for more than 1,000 new students as an initial step to improve their portfolio and skills at the global level. This certification program is part of the faculty’s efforts to support the vision of becoming an internationally reputable institution, while also providing students with additional skills needed to compete in the job market.
This certification was carried out in two methods: offline for 120 students in the FEB UB lab, and online for more than 1,000 other students on Saturday, (7/9/2024). On Sunday, September 8, 2024, 57 students also took the online certification.
Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, & Student Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hendi Subandi, SE., MA., Ak., CA., IIAP., in his speech emphasized the importance of this certification in equipping students with international-standard skills.
“This international certification enriches students’ portfolios, so that it becomes an added value when competing in the job market, both in the private sector, BUMN, government, and multinational companies,” he said.
Ayu Fury Puspita, S.E., M.S.A., Ak. who acted as the moderator, and the speaker, Mahendra Dwicahya Putra, S.Kom., provided material on the importance of digital competence in today’s global era. This certification is not only the first step, but also a strong foundation that will help FEB UB students in their academic and professional journey.
