The Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya (FILKOM UB) on Wednesday (18/11/2024) received a visit from Beijing Zhongzhi Beifang Education Technology (Beifang Automotive Education). Also present on this occasion was the Dean of FILKOM UB, Prof. Ir. Wayan Firdaus Mahmudy, S.Si., M.T., Ph.D., accompanied by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Eng. Herman Tolle, S.T., M.T., and the Head of the International Relations Office (IRO), M. Ali Fauzi, S.Kom., M.Kom., Ph.D.
Beifang Automotive Education, which was founded in 1993, is also known as a leading institution in China specializing in automotive education and training. Beifang Automotive Education has graduated more than 500,000 technicians in automotive repair and maintenance since its establishment.
Ali said that the purpose of the visit of the 12 representatives of Beifang Automotive Education in addition to discussing cooperation was also to see the facilities owned by FILKOM UB.
“Beifang Automotive Education and FILKOM will hold further discussions about cooperation which includes sending students to do Double Degree/Exchange to FILKOM UB for 1 to 2 years,” explained Ali.
Through this program, it is hoped that synergy will be created between the two parties which is not only beneficial academically but also strengthens intercultural relations. (rr/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
