Student contingent from Faculty of Medicine University of Brawijaya (FK-UB) re-carve achievement in national level, after being declared as finalist in annual national scientific competition so-called “Scripta Research Festival 2016” organized at Faculty of Medicine University of North Sumatera Medan.
In SRF event series that convened for five days, started from 29th January until 2nd February 2016, FK-UB’s delegates succeeded to grab several champions such as runner up position in category of scientific poster and runner up position in educational video category.
The 2016 SRF is a national scientific competition in which also held competitions in scientific subject with branches such as scientific poster, educational video and popular poster.
The seven participants who represent FK-UB in the event were including: scientific poster delegates such as Ika Dewi Soraya (Medical Education/2013), Lia Dia Farida (Medical Education/2014) and Rixkha Farida (Medical Education/2013); and Ria Sherliana (Medical Education/2014), Editya Fukata (Medical Education/2015) and Edvin Prawira (Medical Education/2014).
In addition, delegates of educational video and popular poster were Fatika Maulidyah Yuwanto (Nursing Science/2014) along with two students of Faculty of Dentistry University of Brawijaya.
The first day initiated with opening and remarks that located at Medan-Mayor’s official resident’s pavilion. Welcoming ceremony presented by the committees, FK-USU scientific institution Head, FK-USU’s Director, USU’s Vice Rector III on Student Affairs and Medan Mayor.
The second day is the execution day of the 2016 SRF National Symposium titled “Clinical Updates and Holistic Management of Neurology Disease (Highlight on Stroke and Meningitis). And then in the night, being organized a joint dinner and announcement of the 2016 SRF winner of each competition branch.
After winner announcement, the fourth day filled with tour to Toba Lake, Parapat, Morth Sumatera. Afterwards, on 2nd February 2016, all delegates returned to each place of origin. Hopefully FK-UB able to improve its scientific existence at other prestigious event.
Participants who became finalist of each competition category at the 2016 SRF are as follows: Brawijaya University, Gadjah Mada University, University of Indonesia, Padjadjaran University, Airlangga University, Sebelas Maret University of Surakarta, Diponegoro University, Atma Jaya University, University of North Sumatera, University of Jember, Sriwijaya University, Lambung Mangkurat University, Muhammadiyah University of Jakarta, Hasanuddin University, Tanjung Pura University, Islamic University of Malang and Islamic University of Indonesia.
