Kompas-UB Talks the Sparkling Property Business in the Greater Malang

Kompas-UB talks about business propertyProperty business in Malang City is dominated with high communities in urban areas. If there are more developers who targeting the suburbs for low-income communities, the more will enliven the area. This regard is delivered by Umang Gianto, Board-area Head of Indonesian Real Estate of Malang in the event so-called Bincang Kompas, Friday (26/Feb/2016) at 8th floor of UB’s Rectorate building.

The event invited speakers such as Dr. Ir. Abdul Wahid Hasyim, MSP (Head of Urban and Regional Planning study program of University of Brawijaya, Teguh Widjajanto as Development Manager of Araya and Umang Gianto as Head of Board Area of Indonesian Real Estate of Malang. Attended also in the event as participants are lecturers, property agents and Master Program students.

He added, a growing number of population in the area, will have an impact on economic activity such as shopping centre, eating places, and other economic centre, thus able to flatten the regional economy, not only in the city centre but to many areas.

Meanwhile Head of UB’s Study Program of Urban and Regional Planning Dr. Ir. Abdul Wahid Hasyim, MSP argued that more and more housing will give impact into the environment. Evidenced by the occurrence of temperature increase in Malang City.

One of big housings in Malang City is Araya with Teguh Widjajanto as Development Manager of Kota Araya. The development is sufficient to completely facilitate such as school, hotel, hospital, even Araya invites a college to be established there.

“The area is aimed not only to stay but to live, thus we should consider everything, started from facilities up to road access. Such as by the existing of universities here, we can build dormitory or apartment and able to create central business like laundry,” said Teguh.

Bincang Kompas is a form of collaboration between Kompas and UB that recently titled “Sparkling Property Business in the Greater Malang”.
