
Jakarta – Monday, March 25 2024, in Room K.9 BSDK, the signing of Cooperation Implementation Agreement between the Legal and Judicial Education and Training Policy Strategy Agency of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia (BSDK MARI) and the Faculty of Law, Brawijaya University.
This program is a concrete step in the hope of the Supreme Court Leadership that the Candidate Judge Education Program (PPCH) IV in 2024 can be equated with Masters Education.
Through this collaboration, PPCH students have the opportunity to take the Master of Laws Program organized by the Off-Main Campus Study Program (PSDKU) of the Faculty of Law, Brawijaya University on the Jakarta Campus through an integration process, so it is hoped that after completing PPCH, Prospective Judges can also obtain a Master of Laws degree. .
This agreement also provides a legal umbrella for the Recognition of Past Learning (RPL) program for Judges, Substitute Registrars, and other Court Employees who have a minimum work experience of 5 years to take part in the Master of Law and Doctor of Law programs organized by the Faculty of Law, Brawijaya University .
The Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia, through the Policy Strategy Agency (Badan Strak), has established a significant partnership with Brawijaya University (UB) to improve education and service standards for participants of the 2024 Integrated PPCH Training I.
This collaboration includes holding lectures that integrate the Master of Law (MIH) curriculum at UB Faculty of Law at the Center for Study and Development of Legal Studies in Jakarta (PSDKU Jakarta) with the curriculum for the 2024 Integrated Prospective Judge Education Program.
Professor Dr. Mochtar Kusumaatmadja, Chair of the Supreme Court Tracking Agency, stated, “The main aim of this curriculum integration is to improve the quality and standards of education for prospective judges. By combining learning materials, we are trying to strengthen their competence and professionalism,” he said.
Dr. Aan Eko Widiarto, S.H., M.Hum., Dean of the Faculty of Law, Brawijaya University, expressed his pride in this collaboration.
“We are committed to supporting the Supreme Court’s vision in building a great and modern justice system. By contributing knowledge and experience from our law faculty, we are confident we can make a meaningful contribution to the education of prospective judges in Indonesia,” said Dr. Aan.
This step is not only an important milestone in improving the quality of education of prospective judges, but also reflects close collaboration between leading academic institutions and legal institutions in the country. Through continual collaboration, it is hoped that graduates of this program will become leaders who are competent and have integrity in the Indonesian justice system which continues to develop.
