Students as agents of change are pioneers of movements that have a positive impact on society. This is what underlies the Communication Science student group of Universitas Brawijaya by becoming the pioneers of the “Stop Smoking While Driving” campaign movement.

This movement is called Titik Jenuh Pemuda which will hold a campaign action in collaboration with the Malang Police Department in the commemoration of the 76th anniversary of the woman police officer on Tuesday, (3/9/2024), which was initiated by Abdul Muis Nawawi, Desvie Amalia, Muhammad Al Fatih, and Zenica Happy.

This campaign is carried out in the form of videos and distribution of brochures and stickers while educating the public about the dangers of smoking while driving.

This campaign, according to Abdul Muis Nawawi as the team representative, is a real form of students to the community. “Stop Smoking While Driving” by Titik Jenuh Pemuda is a movement that focuses on raising awareness of the people of Malang City not to smoke while driving because it can damage driving concentration, trigger traffic accidents and injure other drivers,” he said

In addition, this movement is also an effort to realize the common goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS) number three, namely “Healthy and Prosperous Life” and SDGS number 17, namely “Partnership to Achieve Goals” as well as assisting the role of the authorities in enforcing Law No. 22 of 2009 Article 106 and PM No. 12 of 2019 Article 6 letter c.

“This campaign has been running online through social media Instagram and TikTok and will start to expand offline as an effort to optimize the campaign program. The campaign will be carried out by distributing posters containing the message “Stop Smoking While Driving”, he concluded. (AMN/VQ/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
