Universitas Brawijaya Clinic Starts Vaccinating Public Health Workers

In an effort to participate in supporting the vaccination program for protection against the Covid-19 virus in Malang, Universitas Brawijaya Clinic has started vaccination activities for public health workers. Vaccination is carried out for two days, Thursday-Friday (25-26 / 02/2021) and is open from 09.00-15.00.
The Director of UB Clinic, dr. Fida Rahmayanti, MMRS said that UB Clinic received 100 vials of Sinovac vaccine from Malang City Health Office to be injected to health workers with an estimated time of 4 days. “” If the vaccine registrant exceeds the dose of 100 vials, it will be recorded, if for example there is a dropping vaccine, then they will be contacted. Because it depends on the vaccine from the Health Office “, he said.

On the first day, 56 health workers registered themselves to get the vaccine. These health workers come from the academic community, independent practicing doctors, and employees who work in health care facilities. In this vaccination activity, the clinic formed three teams consisting of three vaccinators and three screeners.
She added that, in contrast to previous vaccination activities, the flow of vaccination for health workers this time is easier. Only by showing the National Identity Number (NIK), health workers can get vaccines. However, before being injected, health workers must register and follow basic screening by a doctor.
“After receiving the vaccine, health workers will observe up to 30 minutes to see whether there are follow-up symptom after immunization or not,” said the alumni of FK UB.
Meanwhile, to avoid the crowds, UB Clinic implements a system of distribution of vaccine quotas in the morning and afternoon. So that health workers who have registered previously have to confirm their arrival first.
“We control the flow because we forbid it to come straight away. So, confirming first then we broadcast from the hours and so on, the morning quota and the afternoon quota. So, maybe because health workers understand the process. The vaccination activity was smooth and there was no accumulation, ”she concluded. [Humas UB/ Trans. Iir]
