KKN Kebangsaan or National Community Service Program XII is one of the national-level programs involving various universities in Indonesia. This year, Pattimura University, Maluku, was appointed to host the activity, with the slogan Strengthening National Values in Realizing Independent Villages in the Archipelago. In its implementation, Universitas Brawijaya sent four delegates, one of whom was Salma Rasheeda, a student of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya, class of 2022. Salma and other delegates were spread across various regions in Maluku to carry out Community Service, namely Ambon City, Central Maluku, West Seram, and Buru Island. On this occasion, she was placed in Negeri Niwelehu, Taniwel District, West Seram Regency.
To become part of the National Community Service delegation, Salma stated that she had to go through several strict selection stages. The selection was held by the DRPM KKN Service Center of Universitas Brawijaya. After being declared to have passed the selection, Salma and other delegates were facilitated by the DRPM KKN Service Center to be sent to the KKN location in Maluku. This departure is a real evidence of Universitas Brawijaya’s participation in the national activity.
During the implementation of the KKN which took place from July 25 to August 25, Salma focused on a program that was in line with her study background, namely Public Administration. “The work program that was carried out was the creation of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Village Administration Services. This program aims to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of administrative services in Negeri Niwelehu, so that the public can access services more easily and in a structured manner,” explained Salma about her work program.
As part of her program, Salma produced an output in the form of a banner that was installed at the Negeri Niwelehu Village Office. The banner contains an administrative service flow that makes it easier for the community to meet their administrative needs. “With a clear SOP, it is hoped that the community can understand the process of managing administrative files without confusion,” added Salma.
The program run by Salma reflects Universitas Brawijaya’s commitment to support the development of village administration through KKN activities. It is hoped that this program will have a positive impact on the people of Negeri Niwelehu, especially in facilitating access to more organized and professional administrative services.
