The second and third days of the 40th Student Camp (KKM) are filled with various activities. As scheduled, the new students are directed towards the project site and village hall where they will continue the project and community service.
As usual, after the morning routine, at first, fresher are gathered for a project preparation discussion followed by a hike to the project site. Male students resumed building the concrete road, installation of Public Street Lighting (PJU), and garbage bin installations (Garbage Bank) at some point.
Female students are divided into three groups. The first group made handicrafts in the form of pencil cases from flannel and 3d keychain, provided socialization about garbage bank, and training on batik making.
In the male’s project, up to this day (29/01/2018) the PJU installation, drainage making, and garbage bank installation have been completed 100%. But they need 5 more meters in building the concrete road, they finished 112 meters from the target of 117 meters. It is expected tomorrow morning would be completed before the closing ceremony.
“Alhamdulillah already it is the project and community service has been completed 100%. But until now (29/Jan/2018, 03:16 p.m.), we still have to build 5 more meters concrete road. If we cannot finished it today inshaaAllah we will continue tomorrow morning,” Fadhillah Azzam as the Student Chief Executive reported from the project site.
The Faculty and the University also give their support. On the second day (28/Jan/2018) the Dean and the Head of Department/Study Program came to review the project implementation. Lecturers also alternately supervise and direct KKM XL participants during project implementation.
“We have to make sure they build and install everything well and can really be useful for the community later,” said Eko Andi Suryo ST MT Ph.D. when met at the project site. [mic/Humas UB]
