FT Dual Degree Cooperation with UTS Australia


Department of Water Engineering of Engineering Faculty establishes Dual Degree Cooperation with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Thursday (23/3/2017). 

“Last year, UB has signed MoU on the dual degree in Master Program with UTS. This time we invite you to join us in the articulation program in the field of Water Resources Engineering,” said International Liaison Officer UB for Australia Prof. Loekito opening the event in the 3rd-floor Meeting Room, FT-UB Building.

Lecturer of Department Water Engineering Dr Ery Suhartanto, ST, MT also added that with this dual degree program, students can earn two degrees with studying for two semesters at UB and two semesters at UTS. UTS Representative, Liz Treacy Bascunan, UTS International Pathways Manager, gave a brief overview of UTS and what is offered.

“At UTS we offer regular courses, scholarships, as well as short courses. International students must have an IELTS score of at least 6.5 with a writing score of 6.0, especially for the scholarship program. For the regular program, they can go with a minimum score of 6.0 but in UTS they must follow language course for 10 weeks,” Liz explained.

Also, present to provide insight into the school at the heart of Sydney is Yuli Istiana, representatives of the International Development Program (IDP) Malang. He explained in broad outline how much is living cost in Australia, especially in the UTS, and a picture of everyday life there.

“In addition to an artistic building, UTS has provided HELPS Study and Language Support that will help students who have difficulties. There you can also broaden your network. They also have Engaging International Student Program that will help international students there to feel more at home,” said Yuli. (mic/Humas UB)
