
Brawijaya University (UB) and Taylor & Francis officially extended the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday (20/09/2023). This MOU marks the second year of collaboration between UB and Taylor and Francis with the main aim of increasing quality research output from UB.
One of the main points in this MOU is open access to all journals published by Taylor & Francis for all UB academics. It is hoped that this step will enrich research literacy for UB students, lecturers and researchers, as well as broaden insight and references in various scientific disciplines.
Moreover, Similar to previous year, UB lecturers also have the opportunity to publish their research results in open access in journals published by Taylor & Francis.
Taylor & Francis is a publisher more than 225 years old that publishes books, journals, both printed and digital/electronic in the fields of humanity, social sciences, science, technology and medicine.
In his discussion with Taylor & Francis, UB Rector, Prof. Widodo, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D.Med.Sc expressed his hope that Taylor & Francis can be a guarantor of the quality of UB academic community publications.
“Like Taylor & Francis, UB also has a good reputation that wants to maintain and improve. “With this collaboration, it is hoped that Taylor & Francis can be a guarantor of the quality of UB’s academic community publications,” said Widodo.
By extending this MOU, it is hoped that there will be a significant increase in the number and quality of publications from UB lecturers and researchers, which in turn will increase UB’s reputation and ranking at the national and international levels. [KG/Irene/ UB PR/ Trans. Iir]
