Approaching the UTBK, UB Holds Briefing for the Supervisors and Committee

Vice Rector for Academic Affairs while was giving direction ahead of UTBK

Approaching the implementation of the Computer-Based Written Examination in the framework of the Test-Based National Selection for the 2025/2026 academic year, Universitas Brawijaya held a briefing for exam supervisors and committees. This briefing was held on Thursday (17/4) at the Widyaloka Building, which was divided into three sessions.

Also present to provide direction to the supervisory team was the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Imam Santoso MP. To the participants, Imam advised them to pay full attention during the implementation of UTBK, next week. “Please monitor this activity well, starting from preparation, supervision, implementation, until the submitted documents can be done very well,” he said.

UB, according to Imam, has ensured its readiness to face this exam. “First, the infrastructure has been ensured including the network and others have met the standards and have been tested. Second, regarding security and comfort, it has also been prepared. The hope is that participants, especially those who are setting foot in Malang City for the first time, are truly assisted and facilitated well,” explained the man who once led the Faculty of Agricultural Technology.

Third, Imam wants to ensure that during the test, no participants commit fraud. “I want the technical team to prepare a sophisticated metal detector, and the supervisory team to ensure that all participants really take the exam honestly and do not use tools that support cheating,” he explained.

“We ask for your help, ladies and gentlemen, in between administrative, needs to go around more routinely, so that the exam process is truly monitored and supervised properly. So that those who want to cheat can think twice and it can be known early if there is fraud,” he added.

UTBK Supervisor Briefing

In addition to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, there was also a briefing regarding the technicalities and flow during supervision delivered by Arief Hidayat, S.Kom, MM as Secretary of the Directorate of Administration and Academic Services. Moreover, there was also coordination regarding the IT system used during the exam delivered by Dr. Raden Arief Setyawan, S.T., M.T to the ICT Coordinator at the exam location.

The simultaneous implementation of UTBK will begin next Wednesday (23/4/2025) at various universities that are the local committee. This year, UB provides a number of rooms spread across 15 faculties and in the old Rectorate Building.
