The Master of Social Sciences Study Program at FISIP Brawijaya University (UB) undergoes a field assessment for the accreditation process which is the obligation of every educational institution. This assessment is carried out Monday-Tuesday (13/11-14/11/2023) at FISIP UB.
The two assessors who came were Dr Siti Nurbayani S.Pd., M.Si and Muhammad Husni Arifin Ph.D., S.Ag., M.Si. Superior grade is the target launched by the leadership of FISIP UB. The Dean of FISIP, Prof. Anang Sujoko S.Sos., M.Si., D.COMM hopes that superior grades can be achieved by the Master of Social Sciences Study Program.
“We have nine study programs, and hopefully the Master of Social Sciences study program can follow to get the title of superior,” he said.
Anang Sujoko said that the team from the Department of Sociology had prepared well for the implementation of the accreditation.
“Various preparations have been made. “Of course we hope that the assessors will provide good input and then of course the results will be superior,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the assessor representative, Dr Siti Nurbayani S.Pd., M.Si, explained that the field assessment carried out was not only about honors but also to improve the quality of education, especially in Social Sciences.
“Of course, we in the Social Sciences group must collaborate with each other so that the reputation of lecturers in Social Sciences also increases,” he continued.
Vice Rector for Innovation and Research, Prof. Dr. Unti Ludigdo, SE., M.Sc., Ak said that currently only the Master of Social Sciences degree does not have an A or Excellent title. However, he is confident that for now the accreditation will be superior.
“I am also FISIP alumnus, and was once the Dean here. FISIP has an extraordinary movement. “Even though we are still relatively young, our acceleration is extraordinary,” he said.
