UB Scholarlib AI Technology Captivates the Jury at the 2024 University Library Innovation Competition

The spirit of innovation and dedication was ignited at Holiday in Glodok Harmoni Room 2, Jakarta, when the best librarians from all over Indonesia gathered to celebrate their achievements in the 2024 National University Library Innovation Competition. In this competition filled with creativity and vision for the future, UB managed to make a proud achievement by winning the Fourth Best predicate out of 56 university libraries throughout Indonesia.

This success is certainly inseparable from the hard work and innovation carried out by the librarians of Universitas Brawijaya. The Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of Universitas Brawijaya, Prof. Dr. Ir. Imam Santoso, MP, was present to receive the award. In his enthusiastic remarks, Prof. Imam expressed his deep appreciation for the dedication of librarians in developing innovations to strengthen the role of libraries in the digital era. He emphasized how vital libraries are in supporting adaptive learning and expanding access to quality academic resources.

Dr. Iwan Permadi, SH. M.Hum, as Head of Universitas Brawijaya Library, supports the innovation program developed to improve facilities and services for users. In this competition, Universitas Brawijaya presented a cutting-edge breakthrough that integrates artificial intelligence technology in providing information services to students, called AI Scholarlib. This innovation is considered very relevant in answering academic needs in the rapidly developing digital era.

This library innovation competition is an appreciation event for university libraries that are able to adapt to technological developments and answer the challenges of the digital era. In addition to Universitas Brawijaya, several other universities also won awards with innovations that were no less interesting. All participants in the competition showed extraordinary creativity and dedication in developing a better and more inclusive library service system.
