The Implementation of Independent Curriculum to Gen Z in Strengthening Entrepreneurship-Based Pancasila Students’ Profile

In an effort to strengthen the Pancasila Students’ Profile based on entrepreneurship in the independent curriculum system, Alam Ar Rohmah Elementary School, located on Jl Raya Jambu No.1 Dusun Sumbersekar, Dau District, Malang Regency, received special assistance from the Industrial Engineering Department team, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya. This community service program aims to implement the Independent Curriculum for Z generation, in order to prepare graduates with entrepreneurial foundations in accordance with the entrepreneurial theme of Pancasila Students’ Profile Strengthening Project (P5).

Alam Ar Rohmah Elementary School needs assistance in developing an appropriate entrepreneurship concept for elementary school age children. Through a community service program entitled “Implementation of the Independent Curriculum for Z Generation in Strengthening the Entrepreneurship-Based Pancasila Students’ Profile “, the team from Universitas Brawijaya plays an active role as a partner. This program aims to fulfill the tri dharma obligations of higher education and achieve IKU 2 and IKU 3.

The main problem faced is the need for assistance in developing P5 Entrepreneurship Theme learning concepts that suit the characteristics of the current Z generation. Therefore, the service team uses an industrial engineering scientific approach, namely by carrying out several main activities such as Focus Group Discussions (FGD), preparing supporting curriculum materials and implementation, training and workshops on entrepreneurship themes.

The implementation method is classical and the practice of producing products that have economic value as a stimulus for early childhood entrepreneurship (Z Generation).

The team headed by Ir. Endra Yuafanedi Arifianto, ST., MT. and consisting of Prof. Qomariyatus Sholihah, IPU. ASEAN.Eng., Ir. Dwi Hadi Sulistyarini, ST., MT., Rakhmat Himawan, ST., M.Sc., PhD., and Ir. Ihwan Hamdala, ST., MT., involved students who would be converted to 4 credit PKM courses or equivalent of 181.3 hours. This PKM activity opened on Saturday, May 18 2024 and will last for the next four months.

At the opening of this service activity, the Principal of SD Alam Ar Rohmah Dau, Mr. Marzuki Arifin, M.Pd., was present along with representatives of teachers, parents and elementary school students. The activity began with a presentation of material about the Pancasila Student’s Profile and Z generation entrepreneurial trends.

In this activity there are three main activities. First, Focus Group Discussion (FGD): Activities with school management. Second, compiling material for the Supporting Curriculum: Formation of entrepreneurship extracurriculars with 12 meetings in one semester. This extracurricular will be attended by interested students with a limited quota, involving theoretical and practical material. Third, Implementation, Training and Workshops: Production activities with teachers and students to understand the production process of products that have economic value. This activity includes preparing materials for the FnB category, production equipment, and product production methods.

With this program, it is expected that it can provide direct insight into how to carry out correct production in accordance with food product standards. Teachers and students as program targets receive material from Universitas Brawijaya expert team. (*/wdd/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
