Hilkiah dan Shanea as ‘Putra Putri Brawijaya 2021’

Grand Final of Putra Putri Brawijaya is Held on Sunday (05/12/2021)

Hilkiah Jordan Faithful (Faculty of Law) and Shanea Ratu Arifin (Faculty of Economics and Business) officially become Putra Putri  Brawijaya (PPB) 2021. This awarding was held at the Grand Final of Putra Putri Brawijaya, Sunday (05/12/2021), at G Building, Filkom UB.

The Chief Executive of PPB 2021, Hermawan Dwi Putra, S.H., M.H said that the 2021 PPB selection had been carried out since October and was attended by 103 online participants.

“The first selection was held on October 30, 2021, which includes an Open Interview, Written Test, and LGD (Leaderless Group Discussion) which screened 16 pairs of semifinalists. While the second selection on October 31, 2021 includes Organizational Tests, Personality Tests, Language Tests, and Deep Interviews which resulted in 10 pairs of finalists,” explained Hermawan.

In this grand final event, five pairs of finalists were selected which had to answer questions from the jury, namely Ladinia Da Lintasya, SIP (Runner Up 1 Duta Brawijaya 2014 and Deputy 1 Mbakyu Malang City 2016), Elvan Bramastya (Putra Brawijaya 2017 and Representative 2 of Joko of Malang Regency 2018), Amalia Permata Rizky, MIKom (Communication Practitioner and Manager of Marketing and Creative Business Development UB, Medcomm Group), Dr. drg. Ranny Rachmawati Sp. Perio (None of Central Jakarta and Initiator of Putra Putri Brawijaya), and Ade Auliya SS (Finalist of Miss Indonesia 2017, Runner Up Putri Indonesia of East Java 2016, and Brawijaya Ambassador 2013).

From the results of the Q&A with the jury, three pairs of finalists were screened to deliver speeches or final statements on the topic of sexual violence.

This event is held as a series of the 59th UB Anniversary. The Head of the 59th UB Anniversary, Wayan Firdaus Mahmudy, S.Si., M.T., Ph.D really appreciates this activity.

“Through this event, UB students can prepare themselves as UB representatives or ambassadors who not only excel academically but are also able to socialize in the community, carry out activities that are useful for the community, actively organize, flexible, and adaptive. Hopefully, it can shape the real character of UB students,” said Wayan.

Meanwhile, the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Drs. Abdul Hakim, M.Si in his speech hoped that the winners could improve their achievements both at the national and international levels.

“You are outstanding students, the pride of UB. We hope that you can bring UB’s name to be known at the national and international level. Now UB has have PTNBH status and needs synergy from all parties to build the vision and mission that has been set,” he explained.
