Urban Design Studio (UDS) is one of the studios in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning (PW&K), Faculty of Engineering Universitas Brawijaya (FTUB) which focuses on building and environmental planning.
UDS received the Universitas Brawijaya Collaborative Class Grant in 2022 and is a collaborative activity between the Department of Urban and Regional Planning FT-UB and the City Government of Kediri.
This studio class is implemented by 5th-semester students who are divided into 14 groups. Each group will formulate a plan for one area or planning corridor spread across Kediri.
The collaboration carried out by the Department of PW&K FT-UB with the City Government of Kediri includes formulating strategic issues and preliminary reports, data collection activities in the field, analysis activities, and formulating plans.
Johannes Parlindungan Siregar, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., Secretary of the PW&K Department opened the Fact Analysis Report Presentation which was held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at the PW&K FTUB Building.
“This activity is expected to strengthen positive reciprocal relations between students and lecturers of the FT-UB PWK Department, as well as the Kediri City Government,” hoped the department secretary who is familiarly called Pak Jo.
This activity was attended by 22 Kediri City Government representatives from; the Regional Development Planning Agency (BAPPEDA); the Department of Environment, Hygiene, and Parks (DLHKP); the Department of Culture, Tourism, Youth, and Sports (DISBUDPAPORA); Department of Transportation (DISHUB); Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning (DPUPR); Department of Housing and Settlement Areas (DPKP); Department of Trade of Kediri City, Office of Investment and PTSP, as well as representatives from the District Office in Kediri City.
The Fact Analysis Report Presentation activity was carried out in 3 rooms; A1.5 Class Room, Kapita Selecta, and Studio 1. The presentation activity began with the presentation of field data findings and analysis, then continued with a discussion session with the lecturers and the Kediri City Government. (HumasFT)
