FISIP Halal Bihalal: Knitting Togetherness, Strengthening Harmony

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) held a Halal Bihalal activity that was full of warmth and togetherness, Thursday (10/4/2025).

This event is a special momentum to strengthen the ties of friendship between all FISIP academicians, lecturers, education staff, and students.

In his remarks, the Dean of FISIP, Prof. Anang Sujoko, S.Sos., M.Si., D.COMM., conveyed his apologies, both personally and as the head of the faculty. He also hopes that all the good deeds that have been carried out during the month of Ramadan will be accepted by Allah SWT.

“We show social concern, of course there are some things that differentiate us. But differences should not separate us, cause conflict, or hate each other,” said Prof. Anang.

He emphasized the importance of interpreting differences as a strength to strengthen collaboration, not as a source of discord.

“With the patience and knowledge that we have, let us create harmony. This is where the importance of friendship lies, so that FISIP becomes much better,” he added.

Anang Sujoko also appreciated the contribution of all elements in FISIP. He said that the educational staff in FISIP are very innovative and caring, while the lecturers have diverse knowledge. This diversity, according to him, is an important strength in building a more advanced faculty.

“FISIP is no longer at the bottom board, we are starting to climb the middle board. With an atmosphere of harmony, let us go further together. Conflict is common, but don’t let differences in taste or ‘likes and dislikes’ damage our institutions. Let’s build FISIP together,” he said.

This Halal Bihalal event is expected to be a new spirit booster for all FISIP residents to continue to improve their achievements and maintain unity in the existing diversity. (*/UB PR/ Trans. Iir).
