Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology (FTP) Brawijaya University (UB), Prof. Yusuf Hendrawan, STP. M.App.Life.Sc. Ph.D. signed a Cooperation Agreement with PT Greenfields Indonesia, represented by Heru S Prabowo (Director) and Miftahuddin Nur (Government Relations Manager), Wednesday (13/3/2024) at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Brawijaya University.
The two institutions agreed to enter into a Cooperation Agreement regarding the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education (Education and Teaching), Research and Community Service activities as well as the implementation of the independent campus independent learning program.
The aim of the cooperation agreement initiated by the Directorate of Innovation and Science & Technology Areas, University of Brawijaya (DIKST UB) includes increasing the implementation of internship/apprenticeship programs through programs that have been required by the Government for PT Greenfields Indonesia Company area which is focused on placement in around PT. Greenfields Indonesia Dairy Farm 1 and Dairy Farm 2 locations; Developing conditions and providing opportunities for students to learn and improve their own competence to be creative and innovative in solving problems that exist in the world of work; Increasing human resources in the education sector which is a program of PT Greenfields Indonesia’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) where Greenfields will design activities to improve the community’s economy through the Community Development program for Maggot cultivation which can be collaborated with internship/apprenticeship programs; Moreover, this cooperation agreement also aims to increase the reach and human resources through the world of work.
“We really appreciate this collaboration. Hopefully we can also increase the participation of experienced students and lecturers outside campus, as well as implement prototype research results on an industrial scale,” explained Prof. Yusuf Hendrawan.
Also present at the cooperation agreement signing were FTP Professor in the field of Industrial Microbiology, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nur Hidayat, MP., Chair of the Department of Agricultural Industrial Technology, FTP, Prof. Sri Suhartini, STP. M. Env. Mgt. Ph.D. as well as FEB and DIKST UB community members represented by Dias Satria, Ph. D and Radityo Putro Handrito, PhD. which will also implement the cooperation agreement between Greenfields and FEB, which has also been signed by the Dean of FEB, Abdul Ghofar, SE., M.Si., DBA., Ak.
