Conducting Consequence Test, DIK Presents KIP Experts

One of the components of a public body is the availability of various information that can be accessed by the public. However, not all information must be conveyed to the public. To adjust to the needs related to public information, especially in state universities, the Information and Public Relations Division held a Consequence Test on Proposed Excluded Information. This activity was carried out at UB Guest House, Monday (3/24/2025).

Present to open the event, the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Resources, Prof. Dr. Moch. Ali Safaat, S.H., M.H. According to Ali, the public has the right to the information we have. “In principle, all the information we have must be opened to the public, but of course there are things that need to be excluded,” he explained.

Fathul Ulum, Tenaga Ahli Komisi Informasi PusatThe main speaker in this consequence test was Fatchul Ulum as an Expert Staff of the Central Information Commission who explained about Excluded Information. “Excluded information is information that cannot be accessed by the Public Information Applicant as referred to in the Law on Public Information Disclosure,” he explained.

The testing process regarding the consequences in compiling the list of information, according to Fathul, is not just closing information, but ensuring that the determination of excluded information is taken legally, measurably and accountably.
