The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FTUB) held a Cooperation Agreement Document Signing Ceremony with the Indonesian Consultants Association (PERKINDO) and the Executive Board of the Indonesian Consultants Association (DPP PERTAHKINDO) on Friday, 19 May 2023.
The signing procession was carried out by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya, Prof. Ir. Hadi Suyono, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng., Chairman of PERKINDO Mr. Ir. Nunus Nugroho AP, M.M, IPU, and from PERTAHKINDO attended by the General Chairperson, Mr. Ir. Aries Wimaruta, M.M.
The three institutions agreed on cooperation in the Field of Human Resource Development Development, Development of Education Training, Research, Field Investigation, Laboratory Testing, Practical Work, and Community Service.
Prof. Hadi in his speech expressed his appreciation for the cooperation that exists with PERKINDO and DPP PERTAHKINDO. He said FTUB as an institution that manages academic and professional education in the field of engineering needs to take concrete steps by implementing cooperation with national organizations in the field of consultant associations and expert consultant associations.
“Both from the side of planners and supervisors in the field of construction and non-construction services. This initial cooperation initiation from the Department of Water Engineering, in the future is expected to become a bridge between agencies to be able to make contributions and real contributions to improving the socio-economic community and sustainable development of the State,” said the Professor of Power Systems Engineering & Artificial Intelligence.
In line with the Dean, the general chairman of PERKINDO and the general chairman of the PERTAHKINDO DPP also agreed and hoped that this collaboration could make a real and sustainable contribution. The implementation of a national certification program in the field of construction with the support of thousands of the best resources spread across every province in Indonesia makes for a complete and productive collaboration.
On another occasion the Department of Irrigation Engineering also invited the general chairman of PERKINDO, the general chairman of the DPP PERTAKINDO, and Ir. Muhtar Jaya as the Main Director of PT LSP PERTAHKINDO National Construction (PT LSP PERTAKONAS) to give a Guest Lecture. Carrying the theme “Indonesian Construction Services Industry”, this activity was attended by students of Water Engineering across generations. After giving the material, the event continued with a question and answer session with the speakers and ended with a group photo session.
Also attending the ceremony was the Secretary General of PERKINDO Ir. Basuki Rafianto, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Eng. Ir. Indradi Wijatmiko, ST., M.Eng. (Pract), Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Student Entrepreneurship Dr. Eng. Ir. Herry Santosa, ST., MT., IPM., Head of the Water Engineering Department Dr. Runi Asmaranto, ST., MT., IPM, Secretary of the Department Dr. Ir. Very Dermawan, ST., MT., IPM, Head of the Undergraduate Study Program Dr. Hari Siswoyo, ST., MT., Lecturer, and Senior Lecturer in Irrigation Engineering.
