The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FTUB) has once again made a proud achievement by successfully winning the title of Overall Champion of Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran Universitas Brawijaya (MTQUB) 2025. This annual event was officially closed at the Widyaloka Building UB on Thursday (8/5/2025) by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Alumni and Student Entrepreneurship, Dr. Setiawan Noerdajasakti, SH., MH.
MTQUB 2025 is an inter-faculty competition for the art of reading and understanding the Qur’an which is held as part of fostering religious and spiritual character on campus. This year, the event took place lively and involved 450 participants from all faculties at Universitas Brawijaya.
In his remarks at the closing, the Vice Rector III expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm and active participation of all participants. He also emphasized the importance of MTQ as a means of fostering love for the Qur’an and strengthening spiritual values among the academic community.
On the same occasion, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Student Entrepreneurship FTUB, Dr.Eng. Ar. Ir. Herry Santosa, S.T., M.T., IAI., IPM. expressed his gratitude and deep thanks to the FTUB kafilah. He said that this extraordinary achievement was the result of intensive training since April, as well as the hard work of all parties involved in the coaching, especially the ustadz who had guided the students.
“This is the result of the fighting spirit and dedication of FTUB students who are not only academically superior, but also able to demonstrate achievements in the field of religious arts. We are very proud and hope this will be a motivation to continue
to develop,” he said.
Furthermore, he added that the victory in MTQUB 2025 opens up a great opportunity for FTUB to send the best delegation to the 2025 National Student Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQMN) which will be held at the end of this year.
“Hopefully later our kafilah can also bring the good name of Universitas Brawijaya at the national level by qualifying at the regional level, of course the guidance for the Kafilah will continue,” he added.
FTUB Kafilah won in various competition categories such as Tilawatil, Hifdzil, Fahmil and Khathtil Qur’an Decoration. FTUB’s dominance can be seen from their consistency in achieving the top position in almost all categories competed.
This achievement is proof that FTUB is not only superior in the fields of engineering and technology, but also pays great attention to the development of student character and spirituality. FTUB is also committed to continuing to support similar activities in the future in order to form a professional generation with noble morals. [drn]

✅ 3rd Place in the 5 Juz Qur’an Recitation Competition – Nova Ramadanti.
✅ 3rd Place in the 10 Juz Qur’an Recitation Competition – Ahmad Hafidzh Alfareza.
✅ 1st Place in the Fahmil Qur’an Recitation Competition – Muhammad Dzaky Al-Fajri, Zidan Zakiy Priambada, Ahmad Luthfi Ramadhan.
✅ 1st Place in the Qur’an Decoration Khathtil Competition – Alifah Nur Naura Salsabila.
✅ 2nd Place in the English Quran Scientific Debate Competition – Yusuf Yuaniar, Aisyah Azzuhroh.
✅ Best Speaker in the English Quran Scientific Debate Competition – Aisyah Azzuhroh.
✅ 1st Place in the Prophet’s Birthday Competition – Akmal Rafasya Dhamarie, Badruddin Ali Ahmad, Jibril Muhammad Falih, Gundar Fahmi El Sidqi, Ahmad Tri Fauzi.
