A total of 33 medals for the 2021 Agricultural Engineering-Annual Regional Convention (AE-ARC) international competition were won by the Faculty of Agricultural Technology team, Universitas Brawijaya.
In the annual event for students in the field of agricultural technology throughout ASEAN which was held online on August 10, 2021, FTP delegation succeeded in obtaining 33 medals consisting of 6 gold medals, 14 silver medals, 12 bronze medals, and 1 The Most Favorite medal.
Vice Dean III for student affairs FTP UB, Yusuf Hendrawan, STP.M.App.Life. Sc. Ph.D., conveyed “although the pandemic is still ongoing, our students can still bring a total of 33 medals. This is a proud achievement. Congratulations for the hard work of the entire team, both students and supervisors. Hopefully it can be a motivation and inspire other students,” he said.
Furthermore, Yusuf Hendrawan also explained that most of the innovations included in the competition were the results of the latest research in the field of agricultural technology.
“Almost all the innovations that we include in this competition are the results of our latest research at FTP UB. It is hoped that this innovation will not only stop here but can also contribute to the development of agricultural technology and science and technology in general in Indonesia,” he explained.
AE-ARC 2021 carries the theme “Advancement of IR 4.0 for Agriculture Sustainability and Food Security”. The competition, which was participated by countries in ASEAN, competed in four fields of competition, namely Poster, Research Output Video, Model Construction Video and Paper in several sub-themes. The sub-themes include Agricultural Engineering, Food Engineering, Biotechnology, Green Technology, and Agricultural Waste Management. (dse/ Humas UB/ Trans. Iir)
