The Department of Electrical Engineering (DTE), Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FT UB) received a visit from four lecturers from the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), Taiwan, in order to provide guest lectures to students (DTE) on Thursday (27/2/2025) at Building B of Electrical Engineering.
Several students from both undergraduate and postgraduate study programs enthusiastically participated in this guest lecture activity. It is known that 4 lecturers from NSYSU include Prof. Yao-Ching Hsieh (1); Prof. Fan-Shou Tseng (2); Prof. Tong-Yu Hsieh (3); and Associate Professor Kai-Yi Wong (4). Where the four lecturers have different fields of science and interests.
In the guest lecture held at FT UB, the NSYSU lecturers shared the latest insights in the field of electrical engineering, including research and innovations being developed at their university. Not only gaining academic insight but also the opportunity to ask questions and discuss directly with experts from NSYSU.
In addition to guest lectures, NSYSU lecturers also held interview sessions for FT UB students who were interested in collaborating on research and academic projects with NSYSU. This opportunity paved the way for FT UB students to expand their international networks and have the opportunity to participate in student exchanges to NSYSU.
As part of the ongoing collaboration, in July 2025, a group from the NSYSU Electrical Engineering Department will return to visit FT UB with its students in order to participate in the Summer School. This program will be a forum for students from both universities to study together, exchange experiences, and deepen their understanding in the same field. In addition, both parties can also exchange information about each culture from both countries.
It is hoped that this collaboration will further strengthen the relationship between FT UB and NSYSU in the fields of academics, research, and student exchanges, in order to support the development of science and innovation at the international level. [drn]
