In her speech, Vice Dean II of FP UB, Dr. Fahriyah, expressed her full support for the implementation of this activity, because it is in line with the vision and mission of the Faculty of Agriculture which emphasizes concern for the environment
“This Adiwiyata program is important since instilling environmental awareness from an early age in students will have a positive impact on the university and the wider community. If they have received knowledge from an early age and are instilled with awareness of the environment, this is a big investment for us in the future,” said Fahriyah.
This activity also presented speakers from the Indonesian Adiwiyata Activists Association (HPAI), namely Sulaiman Sulang, S.S., M.Ap and Ullifatul Muyassaroh, who shared their knowledge and experience in developing schools towards Adiwiyata.

This activity is a realization of the signing of the MOA between UB Faculty of Agriculture with the Education and Culture Office and the Malang City Environmental Office in the school empowerment program to support the Adiwiyata program towards sustainable green schools. Also part of the Student-Based Community Empowerment Program (PMM) led by Dr. Riyanti Isaskar, aims to provide support and assistance to elementary and secondary schools in Malang City in realizing the Adiwiyata vision, namely environmentally aware schools.
With this training, it is hoped that participants can understand and prepare the documents needed for program submission, as well as increase awareness of the importance of environmental education in their schools. This activity is a concrete step in encouraging the younger generation to care more about the environment. (zma/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
