
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya (FKH UB) held a 3 in 1 Program with Prof. Kenji Matsuno from the Department of Biological Science, Osaka University, Japan, Tuesday (21/05/2024).
The event was opened by Drh. Fajar Shodiq Permata, M.Biotech as Acting. Dean of FKH UB. In his speech, he said that the 3 in 1 program is FKH’s permanent flagship program which involves professors from abroad and practitioner lecturers. The main aim of this 3 in 1 is to improve the lecture material, especially the Veterinary Biochemistry and Veterinary Embryology courses.
This activity was the idea of Prof. Dr. drh. Aulanni’am, DES and Dr. Dyah Kinasih Wuragil, S.Si., M.Sc., M.P as the person in charge.
“The implementation of the 3 in 1 Program at FKH UB presents Prof. Kenji Matsuno, is one of the implementations of collaboration carried out by UB and Osaka University since 2020,” explained Prof. Aul.
Previously, Osaka University also often invited Prof. Aulanni’am as guest lecturer.
“On this occasion, Prof. Kenji Matsuno also initiated and explored the Double Degree program for Masters and Doctoral Programs between Osaka University and UB, together with the Double Degree Coordinator and Head of UPT International Academic Affairs,” explained Prof. Aul.
The 3 in 1 activity began with an interactive discussion led by Prof. Aulanni’am with a discussion on “Dorsophila melanogaster as a Research Animal Model”, moderated by Dr. Dyah Kinasih Wuragil.
Next, Prof. Kenji gave a hybrid lecture (offline and online) with the material “The Biology of Left-Right Asymmetry”. This lecture activity was attended by undergraduate students and the Veterinary Professional Study Program (PPDH). At the end of the lecture, there was a question and answer session and discussion moderated by Drh. Gretania Residiwati, M.Sc., Ph.D. [BKL/Irene/ UB PR/ Trans. Iir]
