Malang, 26 September 2024 – The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Brawijaya University (FKH UB) enthusiastically welcomed a visit from SMA Negeri 9 Bandar Lampung on Thursday, 26 September. This visit, part of a programme introducing students to the world of higher education, was attended by 100 students and 18 accompanying teachers. The event took place in Building B, Room 308, at Campus II Dieng, Malang, from 08.30 to 10.30 WIB.
The event commenced with a welcome speech from the Head of the Administrative Division of FKH UB, Mr Ibnu Raharjo, S.S., accompanied by the Head of the Subdivision of Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Alumni, Partnerships, and Student Entrepreneurship, Ms Niken Widiastutik, A.Md., SE., MM., and the Head of the Subdivision of Finance and Personnel, Ms Siti Nur Aisyah, SE., M.Si. In his address, Mr Ibnu expressed his deep appreciation for this visit and reaffirmed FKH UB’s commitment to fostering collaboration with secondary educational institutions. He emphasised that this visit is one of the university’s efforts to introduce veterinary education to younger generations.
From SMA Negeri 9 Bandar Lampung, the welcoming speech was delivered by the Deputy Head of Curriculum, Mr Vira Murti Adhi, M.Pd. In his remarks, he highlighted the importance of this visit in broadening students’ understanding of university life and career prospects in veterinary medicine. He also hoped that this activity would inspire students to pursue higher education, particularly in the field of animal health.
In addition to the speeches, the students were given the opportunity to engage directly with FKH UB representatives. They received detailed information about the study programmes, educational facilities, and career opportunities in the field of veterinary medicine, which would assist them in planning their academic futures.
This visit not only strengthened the relationship between FKH UB and SMA Negeri 9 Bandar Lampung but also aimed to inspire students to continue their education at a higher level, especially in the field of veterinary medicine.
