The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH) Universitas Brawijaya (UB), releases animal inspectors and sacrificial meat in the series of Eid al-Adha 1443 H in 2022.
The symbolic release was carried out by the Vice Rector V for Research and Innovation, Dr. Ir. Bambang Susilo, MSc, Agr in the lobby of the 1st floor of Building B Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UB Campus 1 Puncak Dieng Exclusive, Friday (1/7/2022).
Bambang Susilo said the tendency of people to sacrifice more and more so that it is necessary to check animals before slaughtering. This is especially true considering that currently many livestock are being attacked by an epidemic of Mouth and Nail Disease (FMD).

“Today, we released hundreds of inspectors for sacrificial meat. Since the sacrificial animal before being slaughtered is still alive (ante mortem) and has been slaughtered (post mortem) so that it can produce sacrificial meat that is safe, whole, healthy and halal. This is also a good learning medium for the officers we send to the field,” he said.
drh.Dyah added, this activity is a routine activity. UB always prepares personnel to meet the needs and requests of various parties.
“Every year, FKH UB always prepares and mobilizes many personnel to become meat and animal health inspection officers. A total of 900 more personnel consisting of UB Lecturers and Students will be deployed as officers. This activity is one of the community service activities.
