Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Inaugurates 92 New Veterinarians

Inauguration of new Veterinarian, FKH UB

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Brawijaya University again held the Inauguration and Oath Taking of Veterinarians. The ceremony, which was held for the 18th times, took place at the Samantha Krida Building, Brawijaya University. This procession was attended by prospective veterinarians and their families, the Dean ranks of FKH and the Rector together with the General Chairperson of PDHI Executive Board, Dr. drh. Muhammad Munawaroh, MM, along with networking institutions.

The inauguration and oath-taking ceremony was opened by the Dean of FKH UB, drh. Dyah Ayu Oktavianie AP., M.Biotech., APVet. followed by remarks from the chairman of the Inauguration and Taking the Oath of Veterinarians for the 18th Period, Drh. Nofan Rickyawan, M.Sc.

According to Nofan, Sembagi Arutala, which is the theme of this procession, depicts the struggles of prospective veterinarians. “Starting from practicum, preparation of the thesis trial to profession, and putting in the time and energy to succeed at this point,” he explained.

He hopes that the new veterinarians can bring benefit to society by continuing to uphold the ethics of politeness, patience and honesty. “We hope that FKH UB veterinary graduates can maintain the good name of the alma mater by carrying out the veterinary profession with character and competence. Let’s produce good work, do the duty and service for human welfare through animal welfare,” he concluded.

The Dean also expressed his appreciation to the new veterinarians. “Today, veterinarians have an important role in society, and are expected to be problem solvers for various global problems to realize human welfare through animal welfare,” he explained.

He hopes that these veterinarians can serve throughout Indonesia. “By having veterinarians throughout Indonesia, we can make this nation a big and strong nation. By continuing to reflect the science and technology they had received,” said Dyah.

In this period, FKH UB inaugurated and took the oath of 92 veterinarians, which began with the reading of the new veterinarian code of ethics by drh. Deddy Fachruddin Kurniawan as Chair of PDHI East Java II. The Inauguration and Acceptance Ceremony for New Veterinarians for 18th period of FKH UB was led by Prof. Dr. Aulanni’am, drh., DES. and as an oath witness, namely Drh. Dyah Ayu Oktavianie AP., M.Biotech., APVet. and Dr. drh. Muhammad Munawaroh, MM.

The next event was the signing of the minutes of Inauguration and Oath Taking of New Veterinarians, the giving of KTA and symbolic pinning of the PIN by Prof. Dr. Aulanni’am, drh., DES. As the official taking the oath, the General Chairperson of the PDHI Executive Board, Dr. drh. Muhammad Munawaroh, MM, Dean of FKH UB, and drh. Septian Bestart Kurniawan as the new veterinarian representative. The event ended with a prayer and was closed by the Dean of FKH UB, drh. Dyah Ayu Oktavianie AP., M.Biotech., APVet.
