
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya held the 16th Period of Inauguration and Oath Taking of Veterinarians. In this procession, 112 new Veterinarians were sworn in offline and online on Thursday (26/01/2023) at Samantha Krida Building.
Present representing the Rector, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Aulanni’am, drh. DES states that veterinarians are not only skilled in clinical terms, but also have a responsibility in a role in a crucial field. “Such as realizing environmental health and public health through quality assurance of food ingredients and products of animal origin, tackling zoonotic and non-zoonotic infectious diseases and contributing to the creation of animal welfare,” he said.
“Veterinarians do not only treat one species, but all animals that are related to humans, such as livestock, pets, animals kept as a hobby, as well as wild and aquatic animals. So on this occasion I expect performance in accordance with the competencies possessed and have high integrity in serving the interests of the nation and the State, “concluded the researcher who had served as the Dean of FKH.
To new veterinarians and their parents, Dean of FKH UB, drh. Dyah Ayu Oktavianie A.P., M.Biotech hopes that Integer Aviatrix, which is the theme, can become the life principle of the inauguration participants.
“It is hoped that new veterinarians can become problem solvers for global problems in creating a healthy and prosperous society through animal health in accordance with our motto “Manusya mriga sewawaka“. Universitas Brawijaya Veterinary graduates are also expected to be able to collaborate with health workers in other fields to prevent future pandemics,” he said.

FKH UB Alumni Representative, drh. Yulinar Risky Karaman M. Biomed delivered the hope is that FKHUB alumni to be able to jointly maintain the good name of the alma mater. “Wherever we work, because after all, the reflection of the campus is the ethical behavior and work ethic that we show where we work,” he said.
The inauguration procession was also attended by the Chairperson of PDHI East Java 2 who was represented by the Secretary of PDHI East Java 2, drh. Dodik Prasetyo M.Vet. who also read the Digest of the Code of Ethics for Veterinarians and Dr. drh. Munawaroh, MM. as Chairman of PB PDHI, who provides training for new veterinarians.
