The Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Brawijaya (FKG UB) carried out community service activities at An-Nurriyah Sukun Islamic Boarding School, Malang City, Saturday (25/5/2024). The activity was represented by Ariyati Retno Pratiwi, drg., Fidya, drg., M.SI., PhD., and Regina Putri Virgirinia, S.Sc., MSc., DSc. this received a positive response from the Islamic boarding school.
Head of Community Service for PNBP Grants, Ariyati Retno Pratiwi, drg., explained that this service activity was carried out at An-Nurriyah Islamic boarding school with a total of more than 100 students.
“It is hoped that this service activity will provide good benefits and can raise the level of health, especially the dental and oral health of the students. Or at least open their insight and awareness of the importance of dental and oral health,” she said.
She added that this action was not only carrying out dental examinations, but also giving TAF (Topical Application of Fluorine) to students as a form of effort to prevent caries.
This community service is a routine agenda of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Brawijaya, which includes the 2024 PNBP Grant program in an effort to create a Caries-Free Indonesia by 2030.
